Dr Zunaid Karim - Secretary of Steering Group
Is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the NHS, moved to Yorkshire from Ireland in 1998. Has been involved in the committee of Leeds Grand Mosque for the last 6 years during which time he has focussed on improving services in the Mosque to those who speak English as a first language and New Muslims (both his mother and wife have converted to Islam by the Grace of Allah), as well as interacting with the wider Non- Muslim community. He has organised the Annual Schools Exhibition on Islam catering for over 1000 students from local schools over this period, developing strong links with Local council and education authorities.
